Eclectic little groups of wildflowers, in a variety of vintage jars and bottles, have such an unconventional, yet wonderful, appeal. The flowers in this wedding by The Nichols are so bight and cheerful, they really reflect the bride’s free spirit and creative nature. They also add a lovely informal feel to the day. Today I have such a treat for you, Brittney and Jeff’s gorgeous South Carolina wedding, shot by the talented Jenna of Red White & Green Photography. This sweet pair married in MorningStar Ministries, a former Christian theme park, now turned church/hotel! As you’ll see below, it makes quite a stunning venue for a wedding, especially with the effort Brittney & Jeff put in to making it beautiful for their big day.
There are so many elements that I love about this wedding, the blue, red and grey colour scheme, the ruffled cake, Brittney’s amazing Michael Kors shoes! But the thing that I love the most is how Jenna has captured the joyful spirit of the day so very well, Brittney and Jeff look so happy together and it’s easy to see that they enjoyed themselves and had a blast! Mood boards can be useful tools to help you put together your unique vision for your wedding day. When I was getting married I cut out images from all kinds of magazines and stuck them in a journal, pulling together different elements to help me figure out what overall style I wanted for the day.
It’s easy to start your own mood board, just get out your scissors and some old magazines and pin up the images you love, or paste them into a scrapbook. They don’t have to be wedding related images, just anything you like and that inspires you. Sites like Pinterest make it easy for you to do this online, or just create your own in Photoshop!

I love a pink tie on a groom! A great suit matched with just the right shade of pink can look so dashing and smart.
